Meet Your Doula
Hi! My name is Kate, and I’m living the dream in Raleigh, North Carolina with my husband and our two littles. I am a ProDoula Certified Labor Doula, Certified Postpartum Placenta Specialist and VBAC Specialist and have been attending births for 3 years. I love Jesus above all, and my family is actively involved with our church. Some of my other favorite things include spending time with my family and friends, thrift-shopping and adding to various collections of mine, cooking up a delicious meal, and doing anything crafty (name a hobby, I’ve probably been there, done that, and spent way too much money on supplies).
My passion for birth work started when I gave birth to my daughter - my second-born - in October of 2020. Having doula support made this pregnancy and birth wildly different than my first - in a good way! - and I immediately knew I wanted to be able to offer that same level of compassionate support to other women and families. Since then I have attended 40+ births and helped dozens of clients feel confident, educated, supported and respected.

My doula style is self-described as friendly, laid-back and adaptable. It is super important to me to attune with each clients needs so that I can support them (and their partner) in the ways they need the most. My favorite part of this work is the relationship building with my clients and their partners. I also aim to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with hospital staff and other members of the care team, with the goal of facilitating a calm and cohesive birth environment where my clients feel heard, respected and supported.
