So, you’re having a baby!
From the moment you see two pink lines on a pregnancy test, to the moment you’re holding that sweet baby on your chest, there are a whole lot of emotions for everyone involved. Whether you’re a new parent-to-be or you’ve been around this block before - the thought of welcoming a new life into the world and into your family can be daunting to say the least. My commitment to you as a doula is to be there for you every step of the way, and to offer you and your partner emotional and informational support, a calming presence, and advocacy for you, your birth preferences and your baby in the ways you need it the most.
Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, a scheduled cesarean, or anything in between,
my goal is to help you feel confident in yourself, and empowered in your decision-making.
Not all births look the same, nor should they. I understand that everyone is different, and the desired birth experience may not be the same from one person to the next. My services include helping you nail down your birth preferences, educating you and your partner on your rights and options, and also talking through any unexpected things that may occur along the way. Even though birth is unpredictable, I will be at your side ready to offer encouragement, comfort, and information so that you feel confident as you navigate any circumstance you may find yourself in.
When the big moment comes…
When contractions start or your water breaks at home, I will be just a phone call away if you need emotional support, reminded of early labor coping methods, or help deciding when to call your provider or settle in for a planned home birth. Once I join you at your place of birth, I will stay there by your side, offering emotional support and providing different physical support and comfort measures that we discussed beforehand in our prenatal appointments. After baby is born, I will stay with you to help facilitate any of your specific wishes for after the birth, such as immediate skin-to-skin and/or assisting you with your preferred infant feeding method. I will also be there to support you, or your partner and baby if your family unit is separated in the event of a cesarean birth or if baby needs NICU time.

1 Free consultation before signing of contract to ensure we are a good fit for each other
Continuous phone/text/email support throughout your pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum
2 Prenatal meetings (up to 2 hrs each) to discuss birth preferences, postpartum care plan, basic comfort measures and relaxation techniques.
24/7 on-call support from 37 weeks.
Backup Doula - in case unexpected circumstances prevent me from attending your birth (personal or family emergency, illness, being at another birth at the exact same time)
Continuous in-person labor support at your birthing location until up to 2 hours immediate postpartum.
Basic assistance with your prefered infant feeding method after birth.
1 Postpartum follow-up visit 10-14 days after birth.
Continued availability to support, chat and answer questions via phone/text/email until 6 weeks postpartum.
